We had a wonderful Christmas with my family in Idaho - Claire and I got to spend three weeks, and Graham joined us for one. Recently Mam, my grandmother, experienced a rapid decline in her health and had to move into a nursing home. We got to visit with her quite a bit as well as spend lots of quality time with other family. It was really cute watching Claire play with her cousins... Some pictures from Christmas:
While we were in Boise we got a ton of snow, but nothing like Kansas City, which got 14 inches on Christmas Eve. A "30-year storm," they said. It took almost a month to fully melt...
Claire is more verbal every day. She adores Elephant and Piggie and can now read several of the books to us. She sings to us on a pretty regular basis, which we love. She also adores puzzles and can put together a United States one all by herself and knows the names of many of the states. We're trying to get away from the pacifier, but until her last two-year molar comes in (last one!) it doesn't seem worth the fight. After that it'll be potty training - wish us (all) luck!
We've thought about hopping the state line for awhile, but we decided to take action on that idea and put our house on the market as of today...! We're not sure what the plan is for moving yet, but we'll certainly keep you posted. That's the primary reason January has been so busy - getting a house ready to sell takes a ton of work! AND I have two classes this semester, which takes a good chunk of time, too.
We're looking forward to vacationing in warmer climates very soon - pictures on that to follow shortly!
Stay warm!
