Claire's latest school pictures came out pretty well - thought you might like to see. Age 3 years, 2 months, and 3 days.
She really enjoys school and has three best friends: Holly, who is 2 days older than Claire (they've been in the same class since they were 4 months old); Sydney; and Carter. Carter is almost 4 and the biggest in the class, Claire is one of the younger ones and the smallest, and the two are often inseparable. We get notes every week about how she's doing, and lately we hear things like, "Claire is a good influence on Carter." (?!?) Apparently he's a bit wild, and he likes her so much that he's willing to calm down and play quietly with her the way she wants to play. Mom and Dad are just hoping this doesn't lead to a trend of hanging out with the "bad boys"... =)
Claire went to the dentist for the first time this month. She actually let the hygienist count her teeth, brush her teeth (she picked cookie dough flavored toothpaste - very exciting!), floss her teeth, and even do a little scraping. She loved the toothy alligator and learned proper brushing technique with him.
The next day we went to the eye doctor - she didn't like the dilating drops but other than that had a fun time looking at the pictures projected on the wall.
Claire is really enjoying the Christmas season. We had a breakfast with Santa at church last weekend, and she not only sat on his lap, but told him what she wanted for Christmas and gave him a few hugs. She helped Mommy bake gingerbread cookies, has been making crafts at church and school, and loves Christmas music. She likes to sing Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and the gloria part of Angels We Have Heard on High. Melts the heart to hear her sing. Rudolph is also a favorite. Today she said, "I love Rudolph - he makes me happy." Love it.
We're looking forward to a nice dose of family and vacation over Christmas. We hope the same for you!

So sweet!! I love being able to keep up with her(you too). I just can't believe she is three...I remember her moving across the hallway and the excitment that was.
